The Giants' winning trends continue this season as they have a habit of covering on the road. Their pitching and hitting come together and they have a knack for winning.

CA NFL Teams

San Francisco 49ers

LA needs an NFL team like Michigan needs a Great Lake. They have three teams in Cali, and the most famous is the San Fran 49ers. This is where Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Steve Young put up Super Bowl trophies, and it's where, until recently, the city thought they were climbing that mountain again. Last year, the 49ers were about .500 for betting in general, coming in at 8-8 ATS and only 60% as away favorites and in non-division games. They were also only 53% as favorites, going 7-6. Overall, they're not a very safe bet to make in the state for an NFL team. This year, it might be even worse.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders, those riders of the autumn wind, have been one of the worst teams in the league since 2002. It takes them four seasons to win as many games as the Broncos win in one season. This season, they're predicted to be the 31st ranked team in the league, and they weren't much better last season. ATS, they were an abysmal 3-13, and 3-9 after a loss. They were also 2-10 in conference games and were an underdog in every single game of the season. They have Amari Cooper out of Alabama, and a second-year QB in Derrick Carr, but they're looking again like a team you don't want to bet on.

San Diego Chargers

The Chargers were sneaky bad for betters last season. Although they seem like a good team, they were actually 7-9 ATS and 4-3 as dogs. They did their best in non-division games, where they went 7-3, but then going 4-5 after a win canceled that out. However, expect the Chargers to get a little better this season. They have a better defense and a better O line, and that should bring them up in covering to at least 11-5, one would think. Not a lock, but better than last year.

LA Lakers

Back in the early 2000s, with Kobe in his hey and a strong Shaq, the Lakers were three-peat champs and one of the most surefire teams on which to bet in the NBA. These days, however, they're not looking as hot. They missed the playoffs last year, with an injured, aging Kobe, and it's going to be more of the same this season. They were only 21-61 ATS, which is mathematics for "they sucked." And their best stat of the year was actually going 6-4 as favorites. Other than that, they were well below .500 in every major better's category.

LA Clippers

The Clippers were always considered the lesser of the LA teams, until getting coach Doc Rivers, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Today, they're pretty solid. They went 63-33 ATS last season, and were 16-4 on no rest, 34-14 as the home team, and went 21-11 after a loss. Those are pretty solid numbers, and you can expect a repeat performance this season. They might not be shoo-ins for a championship, but they're a solid team to bet on.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings have been a few years without a solid winning team, and unfortunately that's a trend that's going to continue out there in the West. Sacramento went 29-53 ATS, and were 18-23 as the home team. After a loss, they never recouped and ended up 19-34. To put it simply, the Kings weren't a great bet last year. They lost a lot of people a lot of money, and that trend will continue on if you bet them this season.

Golden State Warriors

For a surefire bet in Cali, it doesn't get much better than last year's NBA champion Golden State Warriors. ATS, they went an impressive 83-20, and as home favorites they went 48-4, 92%. Being over 90% to win money with a team is something you cannot pass up. Will it be the same this season? Look for the numbers to drop a bit, maybe to around 85%, but the Warriors are still going to be worth your bet.

When betting on a team from California, remember that they have hockey teams, soccer teams, and some good college teams as well. You have plenty to bet on throughout the state, just remember to research trends and inclinations before placing your money down.
